Qld mineral explorers granted relief

The Queensland government is granting a two-year expenditure reduction for mineral explorers as they struggle through the global mining downturn.
Mines Minister Dr Anthony Lynham said a 50 per cent concession would provide much-needed financial relief to explorers to ensure meaningful exploration didn't stall in Queensland.
"Importantly, this will keep explorers investing in Queensland which is vital for the long-term health of the mineral sector," Dr Lynham told parliament on Wednesday.
