Qld man dies from one-punch attack

A man has died in hospital ten days after allegedly being knocked to the ground during an altercation on the Gold Coast.

Police say the 29-year-old man died on Friday from serious injuries sustained when he fell backwards and hit his head during the incident in Surfers Paradise on October 1.

A 27-year-old NSW man who has been charged with grievous bodily harm is likely to have his charge upgraded.
