Qld man critical after star picket strike

A man is fighting for his life in a Townsville hospital after being hit in the head with a star picket.
Police say the man, 41, was arguing with another man, 43, in the Cairns suburb of Manoora on Friday night when he was attacked and taken to Townsville Hospital with critical head injuries.
A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and will appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on Monday.
