Qld man charged with attempted murder

A man is accused of trying to kill a woman at a north Queensland home.

The 36-year-old woman was left with large cuts to her forehead after the attack at a Carmoo house, roughly 150km south of Cairns, on Monday night.

The man, 36, who is known to the woman, has been charged with attempted murder.

He will reappear in Innisfail Magistrate Court on July 7 after an initial appearance on Tuesday.
