Queensland man charged over stomach shooting

A Queensland man is due to face court accused of shooting another man in the stomach at an apartment block in Brisbane's north.

Officers were called to a Wooloowin unit on Tuesday afternoon and found a 48-year-old man with what is believed to be a gunshot wound, police say.

He was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital with life threatening injuries.

A 61-year-old Wooloowin man was charged with one count of attempted murder and acts intended to main, disfigure or disable.

He is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
