Qld man charged over odd shooting incident

A Queensland man found with a gunshot wound to his hand has been charged with shooting another man in the chest.

The charges follow a bizarre incident at Woodgate, south of Bundaberg, on Friday that ended with a 69-year-old man taking himself to hospital, bleeding heavily from a wound to his chest.

Police have charged a 30-year-old man with grievous bodily harm, with the older man still in the Bundaberg hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Police say the 30-year-old will face the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday morning but have not confirmed reports the men are father and son.

Officers were alerted when the older man turned up at hospital and they came across the other man with injuries to his hand as they headed to a property at Woodgate.
