Qld man charged over attempted kidnapping

A man has been charged over the attempted kidnapping of a teenage boy in Queensland.

Police say the 16-year-old was walking along a street in Murgon, west of Gympie, on Wednesday when he was approached by a man he knew in a vehicle, who then attempted to grab his hand and restrain him.

The boy fled and police later charged a 38-year-old man, who is due to appear in the Murgon Magistrates Court on Thursday.
