Qld man charged over 2006 attempted rape

A man has been charged over the alleged attempted rape of a woman near Ipswich, west of Brisbane, more than 10 years ago.
Police will allege a 20-year-old woman was dragged into a park at Redbank Plains on August 27, 2006 and seriously assaulted before a member of the public intervened.
A 37-year-old Riverview man has been charged with attempted rape, and is due to face the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday.
