Qld man charged after dragging cop in car

A man who was pulled over for a breath test has been charged for allegedly dragging a police officer down the road with his car on the Sunshine Coast.

Police say the officer had pulled the car over early on Wednesday when the 33-year-old man suddenly drove off, trapping the officer in the window and dragging him along until he fell onto the road.

The driver has been charged with assault police, serious assault police and dangerous operation of a vehicle and will appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on November 30.
