Qld man caught impersonating SES volunteer

A man has been charged with masquerading as a SES volunteer in southeast Queensland.

The 29-year-old man dressed in orange SES (State Emergency Services) overalls and cap was seen handing out protest flyers and directing traffic during a protest in Brisbane.

Police spoke to the man before charging him with impersonating an authorised rescue officer under the Fire and Emergency Services Act. He is scheduled to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on December 14.
