An indigenous group has been awarded native title rights of 108,000 hectares of land in central Queensland.

A Federal Court decision handed down in Theodore on Thursday recognised the Wulli Wulli people as the traditional custodians of the land between Moura and Taroom.

The determination acknowledged their non-exclusive native title rights to access, hunt, fish and gather and teach the stories of their cultural association with the land, Minister for State Development Anthony Lynham said.
