Qld housefire brought under control

Fire crews have brought an extensive housefire northwest of Brisbane under control.

The blaze at Arana Hills broke out just before noon on Sunday, with the house well-alight when firefighters arrived. A neighbouring car was also destroyed by the flames.

Crews are now dampening down the badly damaged burnt structure. No one was injured in the fire.
