Qld gun lobby takes aim at Miller

Queensland's gun lobby has taken aim at Police Minister Jo-Ann Miller for failing to convene a firearm advisory group.

In an open letter to Annastacia Palaszczuk on behalf of the state's 170,000-odd licensed gun owners, firearm proponents including Shooters Union Queensland and AgForce QLD accuse Ms Miller of "rejecting the continuation of this consultative mechanism" ahead of amendments being proposed to the National Firearms Agreement.

However, a spokesman for the police minister has told AAP she is due to meet with several lobbyists on Thursday to take their feedback on potential NFA amendments.
