Qld driver stabbed as he sat behind wheel

A Logan man accused of stabbing a motorist several times in a vicious attack while he sat at a set of traffic lights in Brisbane's southern outskirts has been arrested.

Police are questioning the man, 48, after he allegedly stabbed a 39-year-old man on Tuesday afternoon while his partner watched on.

It's alleged the couple stopped behind the other man at traffic lights at Meadowbrook before the 48-year-old got out and then stabbed the younger man while he sat behind the wheel.

The alleged offender then pushed the woman into the back of the car and drove away, before officers located the pair soon after in Kingston, police say.

Police confirmed all three were known to each other.
