Qld driver busted at 144km/h in 70 zone

A driver has been clocked travelling more than twice the speed limit southeast of Brisbane, as police prepare for a busy time on the state's roads.

Police say the motorist was busted doing 144km/h in a 70km/h zone on Saturday along Redland Bay Road at Capalaba.

They're urging drivers to stick to the limit with an influx of Queenslanders expected to return from holidays in the coming 24 hours.
