Qld cop charged for using Taser off-duty

A north Queensland police officer will face court after allegedly using a Taser "improperly" while off-duty.
The 41-year-old constable was on Wednesday served with a notice to appear in Atherton Magistrates Court on February 9 for possession of a category R weapon between January 11 and 14.
A 31-year-old constable has also been accused of using a Taser while off-duty between those dates and will face the same court on February 9.
