Police shoot man in the leg after rifle confrontation
Queensland Police have shot a man in the leg after he allegedly confronted officers with a rifle.
The incident began at about 9pm on Friday after officers were called to Woodhill, a rural suburb in Logan, when a man brandishing a rifle allegedly charged at responding police.

The man, aged in his 40s, was shot in the leg by officers before they put a tourniquet around his wounds and was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The Ethical Standards Command is set to launch an investigation, as is procedure when police are forced to use their firearms.
The man is currently in a stable condition, and when he is well enough, police will try to speak to him regarding the alleged incident.
No charges have been laid at this stage.
The incident comes a day after a 27-year-old man underwent emergency surgery after he was shot by a police officer in western Sydney.
NSW Police also claimed they were charged at on a narrow balcony, prompting a young constable to fire three shots at the man, hitting him in the torso and arm.
