Police search for man after boy approached twice on Sunshine Coast

Police have released CCTV images of a man who approached the same boy on two separate occasions last month at Noosa, on the Sunshine Coast.

The nine-year-old boy was walking at Sunshine Beach when he was approached by the man on the mornings of August 15 and August 29.

The man – described as Caucasian, tanned and slim with black or grey hair – spoke to the boy on both occasions, after which the boy walked away. The boy was not harmed during these incidents.

Two images of the man have been released as police appeal for public assistance to identify him in order to clarify his conversations with the boy.

The man was wearing a bucket hat and walking a dark-coloured dog, possibly a Staffordshire terrier, during the second incident.

Both incidents took place in an easement between Hill Street and Swan Avenue.
