A man who allegedly used his car as a battering ram to damage four police vehicles in a car park in Nambour in southeast Queensland has been subdued with a Taser and charged.

Police say that at around 3.45pm on Sunday a 56-year-old man entered the police car park and drove into the vehicles, causing significant damage.

They say the man then got out of his car and challenged police before an officer successfully deployed his Taser and the man was taken into custody.
