Party drug supply disrupted by Qld raids

A syndicate supplying drugs to Townsville's party scene has been dismantled during a 13-month operation, police say.

Sixteen people, including two on drug trafficking offences, were charged during Operation North Shellstar, which finished with property searches on Magnetic Island and in Townsville on Wednesday.

"It is anticipated that the short-term supply of these types of drugs has been significantly disrupted," Detective Senior Sergeant Mick Walker said.
