Panama spreads within Qld banana farm

A devastating fungal disease has spread within a far north Queensland banana farm.

The Tully property was one of two properties quarantined earlier this year after testing positive to Panama TR4, a soil-borne fungus that attacks banana plants.

While the other farm was eventually given the all-clear, biosecurity authorities confirmed on Thursday a separate area of the Tully farm had returned a positive sample for Panama.
