Palaszczuk finally praises police minister

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has finally publicly lauded her embattled police minister for doing a good job.

Opposition police spokesman Jarrod Bleijie asked the premier in parliament if she thought Jo-Ann Miller was doing a "good job", after she sidestepped the question several times this week when asked by journalists.

"Yes, she is," Ms Palaszczuk said, adding she had confidence in all of her ministers.

A spate of bungles in recent weeks has made Ms Miller the opposition's chief target in parliament.

Liberal National Party MPs tried twice in parliament on Wednesday to move motions seeking more information about Ms Miller's errors, but both attempts were shot down.

The police minister has copped flak over Police Commissioner Ian Stewart's early announcement of the relocation of the Ipswich police communications centre earlier this month.

She also apologised to parliament last month for making an "error of judgment" in ringing a man who made allegations of forgery and harassment against first-term Labor MP Rick Williams.

Her latest controversy involves a claim she left documents about Crime and Corruption Commission investigations and the password to a secure online portal in a safe handed to opposition MP Ann Leahy.
