New Qld Supreme Court justice chosen

The Queensland government has appointed experienced solicitor Susan Brown QC to the state's Supreme Court following the retirement of Justice Peter Lyons.

A vice-president of the Bar Association of Queensland, Ms Brown won high praise from acting Attorney-General Dr Anthony Lynham on Thursday, who described her as highly-respected and experienced.

"She is regarded as a leading advocate and mentor for the profession," Dr Lynham said.
