Motorcyclist plunges into Brisbane River

A motorcyclist has died after losing control of his bike and being thrown into the Brisbane River.
The rider, 31, was travelling from Ann Street to the Riverside Expressway northbound when he lost control on the bend of the on-ramp and hit the barrier.
He was thrown over the side and plunged into the river below, with water police alerted and conducting a frantic search.

The rider was found near the Queen Street Ferry Terminal and pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was injured in the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone who has dashcam footage of the incident or who witnessed it to contact them.
