Missing man found after fatal Qld crash

A passenger who went missing after a fatal crash in a remote part of Queensland has been found alive.

Police located the 25-year-old male around 5pm on Friday after a day-long search of bushland around Croydon, in the Gulf of Carpentaria.

The man had been a passenger in a vehicle that crashed on Thursday night, killing the 20-year-old male driver.

The driver's body was located by a member of his family but his passenger was not at the scene.

Police say the passenger was to be taken to Cairns Base Hospital to be treated for dehydration.
