Milton Dick to seek federal pre-selection

Brisbane City Council opposition leader Milton Dick has his sights set on federal politics, announcing he will seek pre-selection for the seat of Oxley.

Mr Dick is a former Queensland Labor state secretary and has been closely involved with the party on a state and federal level.

He has been an advisor to senior members and was tasked with reviewing the federal Labor Party's election defeat in 2013.

If successful Mr Dick will replace current member for Oxley Bernie Ripoll, who has announced his retirement.
