Man to stand trial over Qld punch death

A Queensland man will face trial over a one-punch attack which killed 56-year-old Lindsay Ede.

Mr Ede died in a palliative care unit last July, three weeks after he was punched while walking along a street at Goodna in Ipswich.

His alleged attacker, 20-year-old Ariik Mayot, was ordered to stand trial in the Supreme Court on a charge of unlawful striking causing death when he faced the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
