Man sought over alleged assault on supermarket worker

Police are seeking to speak with an unidentified man over an alleged assault on a supermarket worker in southern Brisbane last year.

Officers today released CCTV footage of the man as he entered the store on a Beaudesert Road in Acacia Ridge at 7.15pm on August 26.

Police say the man began arguing with a 21-year-old female staff member before he allegedly punched her in the face and ran away.

She suffered minor injuries to her face requiring medical treatment.

Police believe a man described as Caucasian with tanned skin, shoulder-length dark curly hair, a solid build, and believed to be aged in his 40s or 50s, may be able to help with investigations.

He was last seen wearing a red and black cap, prescription glasses with a dark frame, a beige long-sleeved button-up shirt, dark long pants, and black thongs.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information that may help inquiries should contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
