Police call for witnesses to Qld shooting

Police are appealing for witnesses to a shooting in Brisbane's north that's left a man seriously injured while the gunman's on the run.

Officers were called to a property at Deception Bay about 2pm on Sunday, where they found the wounded 25-year-old man.

The victim was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious condition with wounds to his abdomen, but his attacker is still on the run.

Witnesses who saw a slim Caucasian man, aged in his early 20s and carrying a dark coloured bag walking near Wagtail Drive after 2pm on Sunday should contact Crimestoppers on 131 444.
