Man set upon and glassed at Ipswich pub

A man has been kicked and punched and glassed in the face after being set upon by four men at a hotel in Ipswich.

Police say the 38-year-old man had been playing pool at the Brisbane Terrace hotel in Goodna when he got into an argument with the men at about 2.30am on Saturday.

He was treated at Ipswich General Hospital for facial contusions and lacerations after being kicked, punched and hit in the face with a glass.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the attack to contact them.
