Qld crane climber faces string of charges

A man whose antics atop an 80m crane sparked a lengthy stand-off with Queensland police faces a string of charges, including creating a public nuisance and drug possession.

The 21-year-old entered the inner Brisbane construction site in the early hours of Sunday, scaling the crane and refusing to come down until about 11am.

Police have given him a notice to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 21 to face charges of trespass, unregulated high risk activity, public nuisance, wilful damage, obstructing police and drug possession.
