Man charged over Qld kidnapping

One of three men who allegedly kidnapped and assaulted another man in southeast Queensland has been arrested and charged.

Police say a 40-year-old man has been treated for bruising and lacerations after his alleged kidnapping from a house in the Ipswich suburb of Bundamba on Saturday night.

The man was allegedly threatened with a firearm and forced to accompany the three men, who were known to him, before he was released in the suburb of Brassal.

A 30-year-old man has been charged with kidnapping, robbery and assault occasioning bodily harm and is due to appear at the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.
