Man charged over homeless bashing

Police are expected to charge a 49 year old man, after a homeless man was found beaten and bloodied at a property in Ipswich.

The 60 year old man was found by officers around 9:20 Sunday morning covered in blood and suffering broken ribs and a punctured lung at an abandoned house in the Ipswich suburb of Tivoli.

He was taken to Brisbane's PA Hospital in a stable condition.

While at the scene, police were approached by the 49 year old, also of no fixed address, and after questioning were expected to charge him over the assault.
