A man involved in a stand-off with police at Toogoolawah northwest of Brisbane has been charged with attempted armed robbery after he was arrested in bushland.

On Friday morning police attended an address in Toogoolawah seeking a man over an alleged robbery with violence in Ipswich earlier in the day.

A short time later police established an exclusion zone 500 metres around the property and at about 4pm they arrested a 25-year-old man in nearby bushland.
