Man, 97, dies after Qld scooter crash

A 97-year-old man has died after the motorised scooter he was driving collided with a station wagon at an intersection north of Brisbane.

Police are appealing for dashcam footage of the incident that occurred at the intersection of Anzac Avenue and Ashmole Road, Redcliffe at about 12.45pm on Thursday.

The scooter rider, a 97-year-old Margate man, died at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital while the 22-year-old female driver was treated for shock at the scene.
