Woman heard screaming as Queensland man stabbed to death

A man is on the run after stabbing a 27-year-old man to death in southeast Queensland.

Emergency crews were called to Golden Street in Woodridge, Logan just after 4am this morning where they found a man with stab wounds.

A woman was reportedly heard screaming "This man is still alive!" shortly after the incident.

Paramedics tried to revive the victim but were unsuccessful.

The offender left on foot down nearby Cohen Street.

Acting Inspector Michael Thiesfield said investigators are looking for a 2002 red Holden commodore, with the registration plate number 529 VAL.

Police said they retrieved this information from a witness statement as the car wasn't sighted at the scene.

A major manhunt is continuing involving the dog squad, a police helicopter and officers scouring the streets.

The killer was reportedly visiting the house and knew the victim. The attack occurred after an altercation. 

There were witnesses in the house when the incident happened.
