Family mourns 'kind' father killed in alleged hit and run while getting milk
A father, son and brother who was killed in an alleged hit and run in the Queensland town of Kingaroy has been remembered as a kind man and "a good mate".
Colin Watson was walking with a friend along First Avenue about 5am today when he was hit from behind by a black Mercedes.
The 36-year-old died at the scene, just a few hundred metres away from his home, while the driver allegedly fled.

Watson's family has revealed he had simply been out to get some milk.
"Because we all wanted coffee, and there was no milk so Colin and his mate went down the shop," aunt Pauline Donoghue said.
She remembered him as a "good mate" with a kind heart.
"He'd help anyone out, If they needed a hand they just had to ask him or come around and he helped them," Donoghue said.

Police launched an investigation into the crash, which led them to a Mercedes at a home on Boonenne Ellesmere Road in Taabinga, a few minutes south of Kingaroy.
They arrested a 30-year-old man.
