Queensland crossbench Katter's Australian Party MPs are reportedly threatening to "make it harder" for the state government to pass bills if they don't crack down on Uber.

Mount Isa MP Rob Katter says his party supports a slow transition to a new public transport industry, but he wants to stop the multinational corporation from allegedly "steam-rolling, bypassing and paying no absolutely no attention to our existing laws".

"It will have an impact on the way we deal with government if they're backing down from things we think are for the better of Queensland," he told the Courier Mail.
