Two in jail, one on run over Qld stabbing

Two men accused of a fatal stabbing in central Queensland remain behind bars as their alleged accomplice continues to evade police.

Joshua Don Francis Wales, 24, and Jeremy Keith Abell, 26, were remanded in custody for the second day in a row at Mackay Magistrates Court on Friday.

The were charged on Wednesday after the body of 29-year-old Tyrone Michael Baynton was found in the yard of his North Mackay property on October 11.

Wales is facing a murder charge, while Abell is accused of manslaughter.

Neither made an application for bail.

Both are also accused of armed robbery and entering a premises with intent while armed.

Police are still hunting for a third man, 29-year-old Mala Owen Geissler, who is thought to be hiding in the area.

Abell's matter is due back in court on Monday, while Wale's has been adjourned until February 11.
