A Queensland Sunshine Coast woman has claimed a $35 million fortune from an unregistered lottery ticket.

The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said she felt a little sick after being told her individual ticket was the second winner from a division one prize of $70 million.

She bought the ticket from The Lucky Charm at Noosaville before Thursday night's jackpot draw.

The win meant she could retire and share the money with her family.

"I'm just waiting to wake up from this dream," she said.

A separate group of 15 work colleagues from Sydney's west have claimed the other $35 million.

Each of them will receive $2.4 million.

"There are mortgages to pay off, retirement plans down the track," a spokesman for the winners said.

"A few people have said they'll be donating some of their prize money to charity."

The winning numbers in Powerball's $70 million jackpot draw 953 were 32, 8, 5, 40, 19 and 7 and the Powerball number was 12.
