WHO OWNS THE PHYSICAL ASSETS?

*Queensland Nickel operates the Yabulu refinery, employs workers and paid suppliers.

*QN and the refinery - collectively known as the QN Joint Venture - are owned by QNI Resources (80pct) and QNI Metals (20pct).

WHAT'S CLIVE PALMER'S ROLE?

*Palmer currently holds no formal role with QN, QNI Resources or QNI Metals.

*However, he was a director of QNI Resources and QNI Metals on three separate occasions, and as recently as February, 2015.

*He is also director and 100pct shareholder of the three companies that ultimately own the QNI entities - Nickel Consolidated, Nickel Processing and Nickel House.
