Hikers rescued in Gold Coast hinterland

Three bushwalkers have been rescued from the Gold Coast hinterland after risking a hike in wild weather.

Authorities launched a search for two men and a woman about 7.30pm on Sunday, after reports they'd failed to return from a bush walk at Springbrook.

All three were found and rescued from bushland about three hours later. They were assessed by paramedics but didn't need hospital treatment.
