Man critical after hit-and-run in Queensland
A man is fighting for life after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run incident in Queensland.
The pedestrian was hit by a car on Hilton Road in Gympie, about 170 kilometres north of Brisbane, at 11pm last night.
Police said the driver did not stop to give the man assistance.

He was treated at Gympie Hospital before being airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Queensland Police have launched an investigation and are urging anyone with any information or dash cam footage to come forward.
