Father burned in Qld unit fire

A father has been seriously burned in a unit fire west of Brisbane.

The 40-year-old suffered burns to his airways in the blaze at Goodna on Monday night.

A 24-year-old woman who also lived in the unit was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

A three-year-old boy wasn't hurt, the ambulance service said.

The fire started under a staircase but the cause is unknown, police say.
