The trial continues for a man accused of killing his suburban Brisbane neighbour during a fight over loud music.

Phillip Pama, 30, has pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of 55-year-old Leon Yeaman Taigum, on Brisbane's northside, in April 2015.

The Brisbane Supreme Court heard on Monday that Pama got into an argument with Mr Yeaman when he asked him to turn some music down because he had work at 3am.

Mr Yeaman allegedly pushed Pama when he tried to take him to the nearby police station, prompting Pama to punch him in the head.

Prosecutor Danny Boyle told the court Mr Yeaman died within minutes despite Pama and his father's efforts to revive the man.
