Elderly woman robbed at knifepoint in Qld

An elderly woman has been robbed at knifepoint as she sat in her car at Beenleigh in southeast Queensland.

Police say the 73-year-old was in her car on City Road on Wednesday afternoon when a woman approached her open, driver's side window and demanded her bag while threatening her with a knife.

The offender then got into a waiting vehicle and was driven off.

The elderly woman was not injured.
