No charges have been laid.
Authorities stressed Palaszczuk was not involved and may not even have any knowledge of the situation.
The former premier spoke highly of her partner as early as this week, telling A Current Affair's Ally Langdon Adib has been a huge support for her throughout her political career.
The pair have been together since 2021.
The search comes as Palaszczuk attends an event at Robina Library tonight to promote her new book, The Politics of Being Me.
