Death of man in Mount Isa not suspicious

The stabbing death of a man in the mining town of Mount Isa is non-suspicious, police say.

Police were called to a unit block on Dempsey Street shortly before 1am on Saturday following reports the man had suffered a stab wound to his chest.

Detectives received preliminary post-mortem results on Tuesday and were satisfied the man's death was not suspicious.
