Two homemade pipe bombs found outside a Cairns unit complex have been defused, prompting police to revoke an emergency declaration.
Nearby properties were evacuated and streets were shut down when the suspicious devices were found in the suburb of Redlynch about 11.30am on Wednesday.
"Specialist officers rendered the two devices safe and the (emergency declaration) was revoked at 4.42pm," a police statement read.
