Girl, three, killed after being struck by ute in south-east Queensland

A three-year-old girl has been killed after she was struck by a ute in south-east Queensland.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a Nissan Navara utility hit the toddler while turning right onto a street in Caboolture, Moreton Bay, about 6.45pm yesterday.

The child suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

It is understood the child was walking with her family when she was hit.

Two women, aged in their 20s and 40s, were taken to hospital due to emotional distress.

A male toddler was also taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The driver of the Nissan, a 49-year-old woman, remained at the scene and assisted police with their investigation.

Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident is urged to contact police.
